We do celebrate Valentine's Day with a party at school. It will begin at 1:30. If the students are bringing in Valentine's or treat, we ask that they bring one for everyone in class. Thank you. I will send a list out next week.
No spelling test this week.
Reading We will review making inferences this week. The students will look at pictures and make inferences about the people and things in the pictures. They will then read clues and make inferences based on the clues. They will read passages and make inferences based on the clues in the passages. They will write their own passages for others to make inferences about.
English The students will learn about adjectives this week. They will write lost and found ads pretending to lose items that are special to them. They will use what they learn about adjectives to describe their special things.
Science The students will have a quiz over the first 13 lessons in their science journals. They should study the vocabulary words and know how to draw circuits using the proper symbols.
Math - This week the students will multiply two digits and three digit numbers by one digit with and without regrouping. They will also work on the problem solving skill of making a table. Divison 2 will be given on Wednesday and division 3's will be given on Friday of this week.
